Are we already living in an on-demand society? The numbers are intriguing.
CloudPeeps reports that independent workers now make up 35% of the workforceand freelancers are no longer considered unusual or unorthodox.
As the freelance community continues to grow, workplace patterns are shifting to accommodate that growth. Organizations both large and small are moving away from the traditional model of employer/employee relationships toward an on-demand workplace model.
On-demand workplaces utilize a flexible talent strategy that is based on freelancers, consultants, experts, and specialists who work on a project-by-project basis to meet the goals and objectives of a company over time. This more agile approach necessitates a shift in thinking for talent strategists and comes with its own set of challenges for both talent managers and freelancers.
